The long arm of the After School Program reaches beyond the weekday afternoon hours into weekend excursions! Aside from classroom English practice and activism preparation, an integral part of this program is experience together and in the community. Equally as necessary are travel outside of Hajnowka and exposure to new ideas and activities. Last weekend the group learned more about the University, each other, and working together through an over-night trip to a museum and a film in Warsaw. The students had the opportunity to meet former students and employees, practice cooperating in chore shifts, and were able to see a film and the Uprising Museum as well. It was the first of many weekend events to come for this program.
